Today was sunny and hot.  

My girls were delighted to have a chance 

to play with the water hose and wash the Jeep 

this afternoon after they finished their school work!  

So here’s my entry for this month’s challenge

Heart and Soul - I Heart Faces Entry

“Heart and Soul” 

is the theme for this month at I Heart Faces.

What does “heart and soul” mean? 

To me it means “the real me”,

“the deepest most intense part of me”,

 “who I am”.

So for this theme, I chose this photo that shows

 worship to the God who created me.

After looking through so many photos from 2014,

 here’s the one I’m entering for the

I’m unable to truly pick a favorite,

but I do love this one of my daughter, Cassia.

This is my daughter, Kadence, and Jacinta the paint horse.

 Kadence has always loved horses. 

In fact, her first word as a baby was “horses”.

My baby is growing into a beautiful independent young lady!

  I had to stop and think a while on this one!   Shadows are generally something I try to avoid, but this theme has me thinking a little more creatively.   I’m thinking that I might be doing more with shadows in the future!

Summer Fun - I Heart Faces Entry

I felt a hint of wistfulness when I noticed

my daughter Kadence, who is six, had brought a book

 out to the swing and was lost in another world. 

 I remember those carefree summer days

being a girl,

and it doesn’t seem that long ago.

 and I found it hard to decide what to enter. 

There are so many special things about summer!

 

 

PLAY - I Heart Faces Entry

 

Play just happens.

Everywhere children go there is play!

I’m amazed at my little girls…  in the grocery store a bag of rice turns into a tiny baby.

At the table pencil colors become a family

full of imaginary activity – the shortest ones are the kids of course.

Outside all varieties of seeds and rocks and grasses make

the most amazing gourmet meals.

“Ahhhhaaaahhhh.”  What kid can resist sitting

in front of a fan listening to the crazy things it does to their voice? 

In fact, I’ve been known to sit there myself with my girls

singing away and cooling off on a hot summer day.
