Samantha and Andy’s Engagement Session

We had a beautiful sunny day for pictures

 that fell in the middle

of February rains for days on end.

It was an answer to prayer, because Andy flew

 here to Virginia from his home in Minnesota,

 and we didn’t have a lot of alternatives.

 But just because the sun was gorgeous and glowy,

didn’t mean it was warm by any 

stretch of the imagination!

 Looking at their pictures you’d never guess it though.

 I guess these two have enough love to warm winter’s chill!

 I loved learning to know this couple

and was genuinely happy to see their love for each other

 and to sense their love for God

even in the short time we were together.

Engagement Photos -- Sheralyn and Dennis

Sheralyn and Dennis are about to be married!!!

We did their engagement session in the woods and fields one beautiful evening.

There’s something extra special about photographing the people you love the most!

Sheralyn and Dennis, I’m so excited to see

Marla and Barrett -- Engagement Photos

Marla and Barrett are about to be married!

 We did their engagement session when the spring leaves

seemed to be at their greenest.

 This couple is a perfect fit for the woods, moss, and ferns. 

I’ll admit we did have a lot of fun.

 Marla is typically my second shooter at weddings,

so it was great to have her and Barrett be the subjects for a change!

 They were up for any adventure,  and our only misfortune

was that the time slipped away far too quickly.
