As the mother of girls, I’ve had
a dream for years.
It involved spring flowers,
girls,
a handful of neighbors,
and the first of May tradition of
May Baskets.
Last year, it actually happened.
I’ve saved the pictures and am sharing them now
hoping, perhaps, that someone else might be inspired.
The giver is blessed as much as the one receiving!
We just picked whatever flowers
happened
to be blooming around the farm.
A random collection of saved
bottles were vases
and a bit of jute twine made a
“handle” for hanging on doorknobs.
I was the driver, and Kadence and
Cassia made the secret deliveries.
Walking up to the doors, hanging
the flowers,
and then making a speedy
departure, unseen,
was a thrill beyond words for
them!
"Whoever brings blessing will be enriched,
and one who waters will himself be watered."
Proverbs 11:25
